Hi, I'm Shena Nicole
A small town girl from Massachusetts who traded it all in for a shot at the big apple. My journey started in 2002, and although it’s been filled with peaks and valleys, I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.
Some things I absolutely love - my family. I’m a Daughter, a Sister, a Godmother and an Aunt. My friends, the circle is small but filled with the most outstanding people who support and inspire me daily. Other things I can’t live without - good food, deep convos, meaningful connections, music and a dance floor.
When I’m not working, you can find me exploring Brooklyn with friends, diving into an interesting read, traveling, indulging in self-care and creating a life that makes me happy.

The way my journey is setup ...
One thing’s for sure, I’ve always known who and what I wanted to be. The issue always lingered in the question “how would I get there?”. At the age of 18, I migrated to NYC from a town that nobody knew with no friends, no experience and no network.
The picture of success that others had painted for me seemed unattainable, and after years of burning myself out trying to fit into Corporate America, I decided to shift gears and concentrate on what looked (and felt) good to me.
Like many Black women, I was propelled into becoming an entrepreneur out of the disdain for my job and the unsavory experiences I had encountered up until that point. I thought if I can do all this work for someone else, why can’t I do it for myself?

Becoming an entrepreneur led me to a love for consulting and mentoring. I’ve done a lot, which has left me with a plethora of knowledge that I want to share with other business owners.
So what do I actually do? I help Black entrepreneurs adopt best brand practices to discover, design and deliver a confident brand.

My goal is to simplify the art of brand building for the everyday entrepreneur by making foundational concepts easily digestible. I urge clients to broaden their understanding of branding beyond logos, pretty colors and an attractive website.

Why do I do this work? Because … I believe Black entrepreneurs deserve every fighting chance to succeed + scale, resources + tools that speak to its unique culture, mentors that resonate with the community, and the ability to head conscious brands that change the world.
